Life Painting Session

Together, the artist and client determine the particulars of the subject's pose. Once an ideal composition is acheived, the subject is invited to relax while the artist paints him from life. Adam only requires one three-hour painting session and provides frequent model breaks but recommends a longer session if possible. Provisions will be made for small children unable to sit for extended periods. The client provides a 25% installment at the end of the session. Working from life allows artists to glean vital visual information that cannot be captured by photography. This session ensures the best possible product and the most life-like rendition of your loved one.

Crafting of the Work

Using the life session painting and photographs as guides, the artist commences the final portrait. Once started, the work does not usually take longer than five weeks for each subject. Next Next
